Outlander TV Show Review

Oh My Gosh! I just finished binge watching the first season of Outlander! I watched this show in two days. I don't think that I have been addicted to a show this much...I started this show at like 9pm two days ago, thinking that I would watch maybe one episode and go to bed. No! I watched till midnight...I fell asleep for two hours. Once I woke up I watched more episodes till 6 am. I had to go to bed at 6 am but when I woke up like 4 hours later I had to watch the rest! Guys this show is great. This show will make you laugh and cry.

For those of you who have not heard of Outlander, in my own words without giving anything away, is about time travel. A girl, Claire, has the ability to travel back in time to 1700s in Scotland when she touched some stones. Claire is split between two worlds...the present time, where she is is from, and 18th century Scotland. She has to decide if she wants to go back to her time or stay in the past.
One thing that I really loved in this series is the costumes. There is the big dresses and kilts. The costumes in my opinion are amazing!

***Warning for people who would like to watch this show...this show is for mature audiences. There is sex and rape in this show.***

Watching the show has made me want to pick up the book series. I would definitely recommend this series to people.
I want to tell you more but I think I might end up giving things away and that is not what I want to do. I went into this series only knowing that it was about time travel and I kinda think that is how other people should go into it. If you pick this up I hope you enjoy it and if you have already watched this series you know my pain of having to wait until season 2 comes out.
Let me know in the comments if you have read the book series or watched the series and let me know what you thought.

I hope you have a good day!

Bossypants by Tina Fey Review

This book is about how Tina Fey became Tina Fey. It is filled with some pretty funny stories and it mentions people like Amy Poehler.

This book is funny and it is filled with stories about her life on and off the camera.

There is not much more than I can say about this book other than go read and enjoy it. I feel like this is a book that people should just dive into. I don't think that people need to know who Tina Fey is to enjoy this book.

If you have read this book let me know what you thought.
I rated this book a 4/5 on Goodreads

I hope you have a good day!

Destressing

Hello everyone!
I am so relieved that my finals are finally over! I was stressing all last week while taking finals.

I thought I could write down a few things to help you destress if any of you are stressed about the holidays or about finals. This is what I do to destress:

          1. I put on some soothing music. (It could be Christmas music or classical music)
          2. I get some coloring pages and crayons or colored pencils
          3. I get some tea or coffee
          4. Lastly I find a comfy place to sit down
Then I start relaxing!

I know that this might not be for everyone but coloring while listening to classical music and drinking coffee or tea sure helps me destress.

Let me know what you do to destress.

I hope you all have a good day!

Update

I thought that I should write this in a post to let you guys know that I don't plan on making a TBR post for December or a November wrap up. The only book I read in November was Easy by Tammara Webber and I have already posted a review of my thoughts on that book.
The only reason I am not going to make a TBR for December is because I want to read the books that I didn't get to in my October and November TBRs.
My college classes are ending on the 11th of December. Once my classes end that is when I plan to read/review all those books.

I hope you all have a good day!

Book Review

I just finished Easy by Tamara Webber and I really enjoyed it. 4/5 stars.
I picked up this book for two reasons 1.) a lot of people on Youtube liked it and 2) it was $4 at Books A Million.
There will be a part in this post where I do reveal some information about the book but I will warn you ahead of time.
In case some people do not know what the book is about here is a summary.

Easy is about a girl who almost gets raped and she tries to deal with the trauma.

When I picked up this book all I knew about it was that it was about a college girl who gets raped but I had no idea that this would be the focus of the book. This book really surprised me. I thought, when I picked it up, that this book was going to be a fluffy romance and that was and was not the case. I loved that this book was about survival. I liked that instead of having the girl run to the guy for help, this book was about people learning self defense.

The part that I really enjoyed was the backstory of one of the characters.

I would definitely recommend this to people.

Before you go out and immediately pick up the book I want to warn people that there is mature content in this book (sex and cussing).

If you have read this book let me know what you thought of it.

***(SPOILERS)***

***(SPOILERS)***

The only reason that I did not give this book 5 stars is because I thought this book was predictable. I guessed in the first few chapters that Landon and Lucas were the same person.

I hope you all have a great day.

November Book Haul 2015

I did not buy a lot of books this month. I only bought these two books because people recommended them and they were on the bargain cart at Books A Million.
The two books I bought are Easy and Breakable by Tammara Webber.

Easy is about a girl who almost gets raped after a college party. She was rescued by a guy that she does not know. Jacqueline has to deal with all the trauma of that night.

I am not going to put up the summary of the second book because I don't want to spoil anyone who hasn't read Easy.
I just finished Easy last night, I will put up a review very soon.

Let me know if you bought any books this month in the comments.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

How to....

How to prepare to write a research paper!

I don't about anyone else but I think that writing a research paper is very time consuming! I have to write a seven page research paper for my english class and it is not fun. I try so hard to stay organized while I write this research paper. I thought that writing a post about how I try to stay organized could maybe help someone else. (I learned how to prepare to write a research paper this way from my high school english teacher.)

Steps to staying organized:
1. Note cards. I buy the packs of 300 note cards. When I find a source that I want to use in my paper I write a letter (A, B, C, etc) in the top right corner and then I write the citation on the card. The notes for that go along with the card will have a number in the top right corner followed by the letter of the citation. This way I know where I got the information. With each new source there is a new letter in the alphabet that goes in the top right hand corner. I write a title on the first line of the notecard so I know which paragraph it goes to later.

2. I have highlighters, pens, and pencils galore. I love using highlighters and colorful pens! If I print out an article I have highlighters (or colorful pens) with me so I can highlight (or underline) information as I read. Then I paraphrase the information that I read and write it on a notecard.
3. I back everything that I write on my notecards on my computer. I always write the information down and save it on my computer in case I lose a notecard.
4. The last thing that I do is I try to have at least one day a week that I dedicate to research for my paper.

I hope this helped you!

Hello

Hello everyone, I know that I have not posted in a while and I am sorry. I fell into a rut about what I wanted to write about on here. I...
