Saga Series Review (Spoiler Free)

Are you in the mood to read a wonderfully illustrated love story about two people whose homes are at war with each other and they are trying to escape from it all to save themselves and their baby? If you said yes Saga is the series for you!

I really enjoyed this series. I love that as the reader you experience every point of view possible with this series. The reader gets the point of view from the parents, the point of view from the bounty hunters, the point of view from the robots, and it is narrated by their daughter. I don’t think that I have read a series with as many different points of view as this one. Brian K. Vaughan writes the story with such fluidity that it doesn’t seem like an abrupt change in narration when it switches from the many points of view.

I want to encourage those who have not started this series to do so. Just try it. Read the first Volume and I guarantee you will be hooked. You will want more.

I requested the first volume from the library and read it in one sitting. I was so upset when I finished it because I had to request the other volumes and wait for them to come in before I got to find out what happens next.

I am highly anticipating the seventh volume!

The art in these graphic novels is amazing!

I do want to warn you that this series is for mature audiences. If you are not prepared for mature content (sex scenes) do not pick up this series.

If you have read the series let me know what you think in the comments.

Thank you for reading.
I hope you have a great day!

Deadpool Movie Review!

Hello everyone!!

Today I want to talk about a movie I just saw. I just saw Deadpool in theaters and I loved it!

Oh! I will be referencing scenes from the movie today but none of them will spoil the plot of the movie.

I want to start out by saying 1) I have not read any of the comic books that go along with the story and 2) do not bring children to this movie. I was scrolling through FaceBook when this movie first came out and I saw a bunch of post from people saying "Don't take your kids to this movie it is very violent and has nudity." This movie is rated R. I was thinking to myself 'Why in the heck would these parents not check the rating on a movie before buying a ticket for them and there kids? How stupid can you be to not check the rating on a movie before you go and see it?'

On to what I thought....
Deadpool has a little bit of every genre in it. It is gory, funny, romantic(?) (I guess...he has a girlfriend. (But) This is not a chick flick. Deadpool isn't some lovey-dovy movie.), and action packed.

I really liked the beginning credits. They didn't say who was in the movie like every other movie I have seen. It said stuff like staring a moody teenager (Deadpool isn't a teenager. The only one I could remember was the moody teenager.)

One thing that I liked about this movie is that he talked to the camera like he was talking to the audience. I don't remember seeing another movie that has done that before.

One thing that I thought was kinda weird/funny was when Ryan Renolds made fun of himself in this movie.
Another part that I thought that was funny was when Deadpool pointed out that there are only two X-Men, Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, in the movie when he goes to the X-Men house. He said something along the lines of how he thought that the people creating the movie didn't have the budget to hire other X-Men.

There were people in the movie theater who didn't stay till the end to see the scene after the credits! I don't think that you are a true Marvel fan if you don't stay till the end. The scene didn't give much for the next movie but still.

This is definitely one of my favorite super hero/villain movies. I can't wait until the next one. I'm hoping that Deadpool teams up with the Avengers or the X-Men for a movie. I think it would be really interesting to see how all the characters would interact.

I would definitely recommend this movie to people.
Just talking about this movie makes me want to go watch it again.

If you have watched Deadpool let me know what you thought in the comments.
I hope you have a good day!
Thanks for reading.

Lucifer episode one review

Hello everybody!!
Woah! Okay, I would not usually do a review on a pilot episode of a show but I had to make an exception with this one. I just finished watching the first episode of Lucifer and I really enjoyed it. I think based on this pilot episode that the TV show will be entertaining.

To give a quick summary of this show....Lucifer Morningstar has left hell to live in Los Angeles and run a night club. One night a friend of his gets murdered outside his night club. Lucifers tries to help the female lead on the case by assisting her in the investigation.

I liked the dynamic between Lucifer and the rest of the characters in the show. Lucifer has this very care free cocky type of attitude when everyone else is very serious. I thought that Lucifer would be very angry and stern, with him being the devil and all.

I found this first episode to be funny and like I said before, enjoyable. I think this is one of those shows that you have to sit down with a big bowl of buttery popcorn with your friends or family and enjoy.

I am about to go into a spoiler section of this discussion so if you have not watched the first episode you better leave now and come back once you have watched the episode.

There was only one thing that made me kind of angry and it was that Chloe can't be persuaded to tell Lucifer the one thing she really desires out of life. To me that sounds a lot like Twilight when Edward couldn't read Bella's thoughts. Did anyone else think that??

There are a few things that I found interesting....The slow motion moments when the angel comes down to visit Lucifer. Another thing that I thought was interesting was when Lucifer spins the coin. I am not sure if there is an significance to it...Maybe that will be explained in episodes to come.

I liked when Lucifer met Trixie. I thought that it was cute. He said that he did not like children but he had a chat with the girl that bullied Trixie. Another thing that I liked was that Lucifer kept referring to himself as immortal. I think that it is great that his immortally is being put out there in the world. It is not secret. That way the audience does not have to wait for the big reveal to other characters in the show.

I love Lucifers way of interrogating people. He hung one guy over a balcony and told the therapist that he would sleep with her if she gave him information. WOW!

Things that I found funny 1). When Lucifer broke up the wedding. 2). When Lucifer broke out of the handcuffs.

I thought it was shocking to figure out that it was the record dealer was the murderer. I was also shocked when Chloe got shot and Lucifer saved her.

I am very curious how this show is going to turn out.
What did you guys think of the first episode and what do you think is going to happen with the rest of the season? Let me know in the comments.
Thanks for reading!
I hope you have a great day!!

Outlander TV Show Review

Oh My Gosh! I just finished binge watching the first season of Outlander! I watched this show in two days. I don't think that I have been addicted to a show this much...I started this show at like 9pm two days ago, thinking that I would watch maybe one episode and go to bed. No! I watched till midnight...I fell asleep for two hours. Once I woke up I watched more episodes till 6 am. I had to go to bed at 6 am but when I woke up like 4 hours later I had to watch the rest! Guys this show is great. This show will make you laugh and cry.

For those of you who have not heard of Outlander, in my own words without giving anything away, is about time travel. A girl, Claire, has the ability to travel back in time to 1700s in Scotland when she touched some stones. Claire is split between two worlds...the present time, where she is is from, and 18th century Scotland. She has to decide if she wants to go back to her time or stay in the past.
One thing that I really loved in this series is the costumes. There is the big dresses and kilts. The costumes in my opinion are amazing!

***Warning for people who would like to watch this show...this show is for mature audiences. There is sex and rape in this show.***

Watching the show has made me want to pick up the book series. I would definitely recommend this series to people.
I want to tell you more but I think I might end up giving things away and that is not what I want to do. I went into this series only knowing that it was about time travel and I kinda think that is how other people should go into it. If you pick this up I hope you enjoy it and if you have already watched this series you know my pain of having to wait until season 2 comes out.
Let me know in the comments if you have read the book series or watched the series and let me know what you thought.

I hope you have a good day!
