Game of Thrones Gab session!!!!

Hello everybody!!!

Oh My Gosh! The season finale for the sixth season of Game of Thrones aired Sunday and I want to talk about it. I have so many thoughts and ideas on where the plot is going to go. I also want to talk to you about what I didn't see happening in the season finale.

First, for those of you who have not heard of Game of Thrones I will give you a brief, non spoilery synopsis on what the show is about.

The show follows so many story lines but they all interconnect. The main family that is focussed on in the show is the Starks. The Stark family consists of Ned Stark-father, Catelyn Stark-Mother, Rob Stark-first born, Sansa-older sister, Arya Stark-younger sister, Brandon Stark-younger brother, and Rickon Stark the youngest child of Catelyn and Ned Stark. Jon Snow is also part of the Stark family but he doesn't have the last name Stark because he is a bastard.
There are seven kingdoms and each kingdom has a lord in charge. Ned Stark is in charge of Winterfell. The king, Robert Baratheon, runs all seven kingdoms.
You don't just get the story of the Starks. You get the story of Daenerys and Viserys Targaryen who are trying to take back the seven kingdoms, You hear about the wall and the people who run the wall, you follow the king who runs the seven kingdoms, and many many more people. This show is very intricate and very interesting. It took me about three weeks to watch all five season earlier this year. Each episode is an hour long. I was hooked by the first episode. Go watch the first episode if you haven't already! All of the episodes are on HBO Go.

I just want to gab about Sundays episode so if you have not seen it please leave and come back once you have watched it so we can gab together!!

...

I am going to try and remember all that happened on Sunday. I should probably rewatch the episode but I have a lot to do today so I am just going to try and hit the points that blew me away. Sorry if it sounds kind of jumbled.

The first thing that pops in my mind when I think of the season finale is Cersi blowing up the Sept. Oh my god! I couldn't believe that she did that and I couldn't get over that the High Sparrow wouldn't let people leave the Sept. If you follow me on Twitter you know that I used the emoji that looks like the scream painting in the majority of my tweets on Sunday when talking about the episode. I wish I could use it now because it still blows me away just thinking about it.

Next thing that blew me away was Tommen killing himself. It..wow...I still can't form complete sentences about how I feel about that scene. Just wow. So sad. I know that Cersi said earlier in the show that all of her children would die. I was just hoping Tommen would've lasted longer. I really like him. :(

When Ser Davos found out that Melisandre burned Princess Shireen it broke my heart. :( You could see and feel how sad he was that she was gone.

OMG! When Arya killed Walder Frey. WOW! I didn't see that coming. I knew that she wanted to kill him but I didn't see her doing it that way!!

One thing that I loved was that the people in the north accepted Jon as their king!

Oh My God! Speaking of Jon one thing that I totally didn't see coming was Jon being Lyannas child. I don't know why Ned wouldn't tell Catelyn that Jon was Lyannas. I think that Catelyn would have been more accepting of Jon then. Maybe they (the director/writer/whoever) wanted Catelyn to act that way so people wouldn't get suspicious on why she would love a bastard. Something that I can't figure out is Jon is Lyanna and (I'm assuming) Roberts baby, why would Lyanna not want him to know. Jon is the rightful heir to the throne!

I think it would be neat to see Jon and maybe Daenerys rule the seven kingdoms.

Speaking of Daenerys, she is finally on her way to take the seven kingdoms! Yes! Been waiting, what, like 3 seasons for this! Finally!!

I wonder what Cersi is going to do when Daenerys docks in Westeros.

The two people I am wondering about is Daenerys and Jon. I really want to know where their lives will end up in the next season. It kills me that I have to wait till next April (or whenever they air the show) to find out what happens.

What did you think of the season finale? What do you think will happen?! I would love to discus theories with you.

Thanks for reading!
I hope you have a great day!

TBR Takedown 4.0 Wrap Up

Hello everyone!!
I know that it is early to do a wrap up for the TBR Takedown 4.0 but I am tired and can't stay awake for another hour and twenty minutes. So for this blog post I want to tell you my thoughts on the book I completed.
First I want to tell you the books that I planned on reading for the TBR Takedown 4.0.

The challenges and the books that I chose.
1. A book that has been on your TBR over a year [longest]-The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.
2. A sequel-Breakable by Tammera Webber
3. The first book in a series-Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
4. A book out of your comfort zone [whatever that means for you]-The Opposite of Loneliness by Marina Keegan
5. A book you most recently hauled/bought-Sharp Objects by Gillan Flynn

The first and only book I completed was The Opposite of Loneliness and I was not very impressed with this book. It has a pretty high ratings on Goodreads so I thought that the book would have wowed me but sadly that was not the case. :(   This book took me forever to finish.
The two things in the book that I enjoyed were the nonfiction and The Opposite of Loneliness speech.
I gave this book a 3/5 stars on Goodreads.

I started Breakable by Tammara Webber. I am about 100 pages in and I am really enjoying it so far. I hope to finish it soon.

All in all the TBR Takedown wasn't good for me. I wish I was reading another book along with The Opposite of Lonliness because I think I would have got more books read that way. Oh well. There's always next time.

Let me know in the comments if you participated in the TBR Takedown 4.0 and if you did let me know what books you read!

Thanks for reading.
I hope you have a nice day/night

TBR Takedown 4.0

Hello everyone!!
Today blog post is going to be about the TBR Takedown 4.0. I recently watched Elisabeth Paige and leaninglights videos on what they plan on reading for the TBR Takedown 4.0 and that made me want to participate. The TBR Takedown 4.0 started yesterday and goes until June 26 so I am late but I still want to try and complete as many of the challenges as I can.

Here are the challenge's for the TBR Takedown 4.0:

1. A book that has been on your TBR over a year [longest]
2. A sequel
3. The first book in a series
4. A book out of your comfort zone [whatever that means for you]
5. A book you most recently hauled/bought

For the first challenge I am going to pick The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. I have been wanting to read this book for quite some time and I just recently got my own copy of the book.

For the second challenge I plan on reading Breakable by Tammara Webber. I read the first book Easy last year and intended on picking up Breakable after but I got distracted by other books.

For the third challenge I am going to read Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. I am very excited and nervous about reading this book. I am excited because I think that the premise of this book is intriguing but I am nervous because I read Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld about a year ago and didn't enjoy it. Keeping my fingers crossed that I enjoy Uglies.

For the fourth challenge I am going to read The Opposite of Loneliness by Marina Keegan. This book is a book out of my comfort zone because I have never read a collection of short stories before. I am currently reading this book right now, I am about 70 pages in, and I am not sure what to think of it so far. I don't hate it and I don't love it.

For the fifth and final challenge in the TBR Takedown 4.0 I would like to read Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. I just recently bought this book from my library and am very excited/scared to read this. I am excited to read Sharp Objects because I read Gone Girl about two years ago and I love it but I am scared to read this because the blurbs on the book say how terrifying it is.

Well that is my list for the TBR Takedown 4.0!

Let me know in the comments if you are participating in the TBR Takedown 4.0 and if you are let me know what you plan on reading.

Thanks for reading.
I hope you have a great day!

My favorite book of the year so far!

I am sorry that I didn't post this yesterday. I intended on posting this yesterday but I lost track of time and forgot. :(

Hello everyone!
I am so excited because today I want to discuss with you my thoughts and feelings on one of the best books I have read this year. That book is called In A Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware.  If you guys are friends with me on Goodreads or follow my reviews you will know how crazy I am about this book. I was constantly updating my reading status.

I went into this book completely blind to the plot. All I knew about this book was that someone compared it to Gone Girl and that completely sold me on the book but I will tell you a little bit about it incase you do want to go into the book knowing a little bit about the plot.
Okay so this book is about a bachelorette party. The bride-to-be's best friend invites the brides old friends from college to spend a couple days with her in a cabin in the middle of nowhere. During this bachelorette party someone gets shot and murdered. So who is the one who pulled the gun? Is it Clare-the bride, Melanie-the lawyer, Nina-the doctor, Tom-the play writer, Nora-the author (and main character), or Flo-the brides best friend?

If that did not sell you on wanting to read the book I suggest you go find the book in the store and read the first chapter. The first chapter is just a page long and it just grips you. I will tell you that there is a page before the first chapter. Read the first chapter, decide if you want to read the book, if your answer is yes then go back and read that page. I think the first page was okay but once I read the first chapter I said 'Okay this is my next read!'
This book kept me on my toes! There were times where I was so happy that I was reading this in broad daylight because I would have been scared to death during some parts reading this book if I was reading it at night. One thing that I am very excited about is that this book is going to be turned into a movie! I have no idea when that is happening but I can't wait to find out and watch it.

Okay on to what I thought of the book!

The Writing Style

Normally I don't comment on the writing style of the book because I am never sure what to say. I guess when I normally do a review I look at the story overall and judge it but with this book I loved the writing style. You have 2-3 chapters that take dfplace during the bachelorette party and then you get one to two pages about when the main character is in the future, after the shooting. I love that the author did this. It definitely kept me reading. I enjoyed the chapters about the party but I just wanted to get to the present with the main character. I also liked that the majority of the chapters started out with the characters in conversations.

The Characters

I will be honest there where instances in the book where almost all the characters annoyed me. I will get into the reasons why in the spoiler section of this review because the reasons that they annoy me ruin the story if you have not read it.

The Mystery

I loved the mystery. I didn't find it predictable at all. I did not guess who the murderer was until author revealed who it was. Very, very good mystery!

I gave this book a 5/5 stars on Goodreads.

Now I want to get into the spoiler section of this review so if you have not read the book yet I suggest you go read it and come back so we can discuss! :)

So I want to start by explaining my thoughts on the characters.

Nora
Nora at times completely annoyed me. I was kind of sick of hearing about her and James and how she still had unresolved feeling for him. It got old quick. Even when I found out about the pregnancy I felt bad but she still annoyed me.
Clare
I just didn't like Clare because she's very manipulative.
Flo
I think Flo's annoying but I also felt bad for her. The one thing that mainly annoyed me about her was how she was trying to make everything perfect.

There was only one thing that I guessed from the beginning and that was that James did not send the text message to Nora when she was sixteen. I am not sure why Nora did not figure it out sooner. She even said that James was the only one who called her Leo and in the text message it said Lee. OBVIOUS!! (At least to me it was.) I was so happy when Clare told Nora about the text. I was jumping up and down I was so happy. I was like "YES! I KNEW ALL ALONG!!" I know that part in the book is very sad. I was just happy that I guessed it because usually when I predict things in books it is completely wrong.

I did not predict Clare being the murderer. I thought it was Flo the whole time and I thought the reason Clare killed James was ridiculous.

One thing that blew me away was Flo killing herself. I didn't see it coming and I wish that it didn't happen. I was hoping that Nora, Tom, and Nina would become friends with Flo. Maybe take her out to lunch or at least stay in touch with her after they got home. I could tell throughout the book all she wanted was a friend....Just makes me sad knowing that is the way her story went..

The last and final thing that I will be talking about in me review today was the ending. It infuriated me. I am not sure if Nora clicked delete on the email or if she clicked on it to respond. I hope it was to respond. It would have been nice knowing that she is talking to people besides an editor...

Let me know what you guys thought of the book in the comments. I would love to discuss it more with you!

Thanks for reading!
I hope you have a good day.

Has anyone else done this?

Hello everyone!

Today is kind of a sad day for me because I was supposed to start my summer class at the college I have been attending and I just recently found out that it was cancelled due to low enrollment. I bet that hearing that a class got cancelled would be good news to some people but I love school.
School gives me a schedule. It is not an all day schedule like the ones you get in middle school or high school but it is a schedule.

Today I want to talk about school supplies and how I ended up buying an overabundance of it. In preparation for my summer classes I went out and bought a bunch of school supplies a while back.

It has been a while since I had to go out and buy school supplies so I went a little overboard. I bought a blue note book (that has folders in it), pencils, and pens but when I came home I found two pencil bags filled with pens, pencils, and erasers. Luckily I remembered that I had a planner that has last year and this year in it before I went out and bought another planner. (But) I was really close to caving and buying this really cute planner at target yesterday.

I am a sucker when it comes to planners. I think I had two or three planners for last year. I went back and forth between them. I love planners. I love to make lists in them. I try to keep organized. If you like this planner and want to purchase it I left the link here. ***(I am not being paid to tell you about this planner or to leave a link. I left the link because I thought the planner was cute and thought maybe one of you might find it cute too.)***

Luckily I didn't end up buying a calculator when I bought my school supplies because I found two when I got home. I guess I was more prepared than I thought for school before I even bought supplies. I will definitely be set when I go in the fall.

So I am curious are you guys taking any classes this summer, if so what, and have any of you got so excited to start school that you bought way to much school supplies like I did?
Let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading!
I hope you have a good day!

The Crown by Kierra Cass Review

Hello everyone!
I am so excited because today I am going to discuss my thoughts and feeling about The Crown by Kiera Cass. The Crown is the fifth and final installment in the Selection Series. If you have not read the whole Selection Series I would not read this review because there will be spoilers.

The Crown

Oh My Gosh! I just finished The Crown and I am at a loss for words. First of all I want to say that Kiera Cass has a way of letting her readers think they know where the story is going to go and then she pulls a complete 360.
Before I get into where she completely stooped me, I want to talk about my overall thoughts on the book.
Overall I thought this book was great and an interesting way to end the series. I think that Eadlyn became more tolerable in this book. She was not all about herself in this book. She was concerned about her family, country, the boys in the Selection, and her future as a ruler.

The first thing that threw me for a loop was Hale liking Ean. I think what threw me was the fact the Hale came to Eadlyn and told her instead of Ean. For some reason I could see it coming more from Ean than Hale. I guess thats because Ean never expressed interest in her romantically. I am happy that she let them live their lives together instead of executing them for treason.

The last thing that completely shocked me was her feelings for Erik. I did not see it coming. The only time I even remember her expressing feelings for him was half way through The Crown. I don't remember her saying that she had feelings for him in The Heir. I felt like it was rushed.

Maybe I am the only one to think this but I did not like that she ended up with Erik. I wanted her to end up with Kile. I know that in the beginning of The Heir Eadlyn said that she didn't like Kile and I know that would be a really cliche ending but I wanted it to happen. I know that she let him go to follow his dreams of becoming an architect but isn't there a way for him to do that as the Prince? Couldn't he oversee the projects being done? Let me know in the comments if you wanted Eadlyn to end up with Erik or someone else, like Kile.

One thing I really wanted was an epilogue to the epilogue. I wanted to know how Hale and Ean were doing. I wanted to know where Kile was and how his architect dream was coming along. I wanted to know what Henri was up to. I wanted to know more about how Eadlyns' reign as queen was progressing. I really hope Kiera writes more. I don't care if it is a novella or a novel. I just need more.

Since I had so many unanswered questions and I thought that the boy that she ended up with was rushed I only gave this book a 4/5 stars on Goodreads.

Let me know in the comments what you thought of the book.
Thank you for reading.
I hope you have a good day.

Hello

Hello everyone, I know that I have not posted in a while and I am sorry. I fell into a rut about what I wanted to write about on here. I...
