Lucifer episode one review

Hello everybody!!
Woah! Okay, I would not usually do a review on a pilot episode of a show but I had to make an exception with this one. I just finished watching the first episode of Lucifer and I really enjoyed it. I think based on this pilot episode that the TV show will be entertaining.

To give a quick summary of this show....Lucifer Morningstar has left hell to live in Los Angeles and run a night club. One night a friend of his gets murdered outside his night club. Lucifers tries to help the female lead on the case by assisting her in the investigation.

I liked the dynamic between Lucifer and the rest of the characters in the show. Lucifer has this very care free cocky type of attitude when everyone else is very serious. I thought that Lucifer would be very angry and stern, with him being the devil and all.

I found this first episode to be funny and like I said before, enjoyable. I think this is one of those shows that you have to sit down with a big bowl of buttery popcorn with your friends or family and enjoy.

I am about to go into a spoiler section of this discussion so if you have not watched the first episode you better leave now and come back once you have watched the episode.

There was only one thing that made me kind of angry and it was that Chloe can't be persuaded to tell Lucifer the one thing she really desires out of life. To me that sounds a lot like Twilight when Edward couldn't read Bella's thoughts. Did anyone else think that??

There are a few things that I found interesting....The slow motion moments when the angel comes down to visit Lucifer. Another thing that I thought was interesting was when Lucifer spins the coin. I am not sure if there is an significance to it...Maybe that will be explained in episodes to come.

I liked when Lucifer met Trixie. I thought that it was cute. He said that he did not like children but he had a chat with the girl that bullied Trixie. Another thing that I liked was that Lucifer kept referring to himself as immortal. I think that it is great that his immortally is being put out there in the world. It is not secret. That way the audience does not have to wait for the big reveal to other characters in the show.

I love Lucifers way of interrogating people. He hung one guy over a balcony and told the therapist that he would sleep with her if she gave him information. WOW!

Things that I found funny 1). When Lucifer broke up the wedding. 2). When Lucifer broke out of the handcuffs.

I thought it was shocking to figure out that it was the record dealer was the murderer. I was also shocked when Chloe got shot and Lucifer saved her.

I am very curious how this show is going to turn out.
What did you guys think of the first episode and what do you think is going to happen with the rest of the season? Let me know in the comments.
Thanks for reading!
I hope you have a great day!!

My Favorite TV Shows to rewatch!

Hello everyone!!!
I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday or Tuesday. I have been brainstorming on what I would write about this week. I did not read any new books and when I do I will post reviews. The one thing that I have been doing most of this month is watching TV shows. There are a few TV shows that I could rewatch even though I have seen almost every episode. I thought I could make a list telling you guys my favorite ones to rewatch.

  • House M.D.- is about a main doctor, Greg House, and his team of doctors solving difficult cases.

  • I absolutely love House. I love that he is crass and sarcastic. I think this show is hilarious. I love that almost every episode someone calls him an ass. He may be one but he saves lives. I am actually watching a House marathon while I am writing this!

  • Bones- is a show about solving murders. A forensic anthropologist, Dr. Temperance Brennan, and an FBI agent, Special Agent Seely Booth, team up to solve murders that
  • I have watched this show for years! I found this show after I binge watched Angel and Buffy. I went into this show not know what it was about, I just knew that David Boreanaz was in it. I am a few seasons behind but I love what I have seen. I have the first 6 seasons on dvd and I constantly watch them. Some things that I love are the interns. This show actually helped me out in Biology class in high school. This show helped me memorize the bones in the body. If I were you I would watch it. This show is still on going. I am not sure if it was renewed but Fox, I don't think, has said that they are canceling it. This show is full of  funny moments and relationships.
  • How I Met Your Mother-is about a guy who tells his children about how he met their mother.
  • This show is hilarious!! I love following Ted and the gang through his many girlfriends. Some of the best episodes, in my opinion, are the ones with the slap bet. This is another show that you just have to jump into. The episodes are only thirty minutes in length so you don't have to feel like you are sitting down for long periods of time to watch an episode.
  • Law and Order: Special Victims Unit- is about a team of police officers who work cases that deal with sexual assault.
  • I have not watched many episodes past the point of Christopher Meloni leaving. The ones that I have watched without him are good but I don't know, I guess I am one of those people that don't really watch the show when a character is gone. (And) I only watch the episodes that are played on USA because they usually have marathons and I like watching an SVU marathon.

All of these series can be watched out of order, in my opinion. I have watched all of these series out of order. For Bones if you want to see the character progression throughout the series you have to watch them in order.

Thanks for reading!
Let me know in the comments some shows you like to watch over and over again.
I hope you have a great day!!

My Goals for 2016

Hello everyone!
I have thinking a lot about what I would like to accomplish for 2016 and this is what I came up with.
1. I would like to walk more and drink more water. I got a Fitbit in October. I did well to start out with but over the holidays I have gotten lazy. I remember someone telling me that people are supposed to drink half of their body weight in ounces and I hardly every do that.
2. I would like to write more blog posts. I have really enjoyed writing on this blog and I would like to continue with it. When school starts back up I probably won't write as much but I would still like to stick with the idea of posting every Tuesday/Wednesday.
3. I would like to talk more about TV shows or movies on this blog. I have started watching some new shows this past year and I would like to share them with you. I am not sure if I will do a review of them or a recommendation post.
4. I would like to read 45 books this year.
5. My last goal for this year is that I would like to start/finish book series.

Let me know what goals you have set for this year.

Thanks for reading. I hope you have a good day!

Rue 21 Haul

Hello everyone!
I know that it is not Tuesday/Wednesday but I have been in the writing mode lately since I do not have class until the third week in January. I might be posting more than once a week since I will not be occupied with homework.

I love reading/watching people talk about what they got when they go to different stores. I thought that I could write a post about what I bought at Rue 21 recently.

The first two items that I picked up at Rue 21 was this coral/pink sequined tank top and this jean or denim shirt. I thought these two item might go well together maybe with some black leggings or black pants.
The next two items that I purchased were this set of earnings and this beautiful necklace. I don't know if you can tell but it is the same coral/pink as the tank top pictured above. The jewels look sort of white in this picture but they are rosy pink.

I am going to be completely honesty right now when I say that I based this entire purchase off of this necklace. I hardly ever wear pink but I absolutely love this shade of pink. When I saw this necklace I immediately thought of the necklace in the movie Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.

The last item that I got as Rue 21 was boots. I didn't buy these boots. These were a gift from my mother for Christmas but I thought I would show you because I love these boots.

There are several reasons why I love these boots and I thought I would just list them for you:
  • I love the aztec looking design
  • I love how sturdy they are. To me they look and feel like snow boots.
  • I love that you can wear them many different ways (sides up or down).
  • They are water resistant (The tag says they are. I have not gone out and tried that yet.)
Well I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope you have a good day!

February 2018

I read five books, watched four movies, and one TV show this month!   Books Otherworld by Jason Segel and Kristen Miller: 3.5-4...
